Minnesota Delegation at BIO2008 Conference

(June 16, 2008) The BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota is part of the Positively Minnesota pavilion at BIO2008, the annual conference and exhibition of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the world’s largest biotechnology organization. Dale Wahlstrom, CEO, Jeremy Lenz, VP of Operations, and Rebekah Kent, Sr. Program Manager, are part of the delegation at the San Diego exhibition. Minnesota pavilion sponsors and emerging bioscience companies will reach over 22,000 conference attendees from 68 countries.

Several BioBusiness Alliance board members are attending the conference and presenting at Minnesota’s “Culture of Innovation” pavilion: Dan McElroy, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED); Gail O’Kane, Ph.D., Education-Industry Partnership manager Minnesota State Colleges and Universities; Eric Wieben, Ph.D., Mayo Clinic program director for the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics; Tim Laske, senior product development director at Medtronic; and, Drew Flaada, IBM’s director of the IBM/Mayo Collaboration and Life Sciences.
